The GFI is scaling-up our expansion into Europe, initially focusing on Denmark and Spain. This role provides a unique opportunity to help build out the operations in Spain and have a real impact in the market. The initial focus of the role will be supporting GFIs workstreams in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and carbon dioxide removals (CDR). The work will include modelling and analysis to explore barriers to commercialisation and identifying solutions to de-risking these nascent markets, with the goal of creating commercially scalable industries.

Building on the success of the GFI in the UK we are now seeking to appoint a well networked, high calibre individual to lead our work in Brussels. With the support of the GFI team and an existing group of cleantech NGOs in Europe, you will lead on establishing a GFI presence in Brussels through organising and hosting a series of high impact workshops that bring fresh thinking on novel measures to close the clean tech investment gap in Europe. This includes probing success criteria for go-to-market strategies for a range of blended finance solutions that support first of a kind green technologies – and the mechanisms by which they can be replicated and scaled across Europe.
